🗑️ Our Story: Westside Waste
Westside Waste was born not from business ambition, but from a crisis that demanded action. During the Birmingham bin strikes, when over 17,000 tonnes of rubbish were left uncollected, our streets became overwhelmed. Vermin thrived, fly-tipping surged, and entire communities were left to fend for themselves.
We didn’t wait for someone else to fix it. We stepped in.
What began as a few volunteers with borrowed van and bin bags quickly grew into a grassroots movement. We weren’t just clearing waste—we were restoring dignity, safety, and pride to our neighbourhoods. Westside Waste emerged from necessity, driven by care, not profit
We are a community-driven waste removal service, founded on the belief that clean streets and safe environments are a right, not a privilege. Our work is not profit-led; it’s purpose-led. Every clearance we carry out is part of a wider mission to restore dignity, protect public health, and empower local residents.
Whether it’s domestic collections or supporting vulnerable households, we operate with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to social impact. Westside Waste doesn’t just remove rubbish—we remove barriers to community wellbeing.
